The provnce is now accepting nominations for its Excellence in Education awards for the 2024-25 school year.
The awards recognize exceptional achievements in education in several categories, including teaching excellence, outstanding new teacher, outstanding team collaboration, outstanding school leader, and the Premier's award for excellence in education.
Nominees must be educators who hold a valid, permanent Manitoba teaching certificate and work directly with kindergarten to Grade 12 students in a school setting daily.
December 5th is the nomination deadline, after which they will be reviewed by a selection committee that includes representatives from across the education sector and Manitoba Education and Early Childhood Learning.
The winners will be announced and recognized during a ceremony next spring.
