Delicious, fresh, vine-ripened tomatoes aren't something you'd usually expect to get at this time of year in Dauphin.
Vermillion Growers is completely changing that idea, as their tomatoes are now available at grocery stores near you.
Agriculture Minister Ron Kostyshyn recently toured the local, booming business, and he was quite impressed by the scale and quality of this local greenhouse.
"There's an opportunity of some real estate that has been developed with infrastructure and the dale of tomatoes. and you know what? they taste just like fresh tomatoes picked right out of the garden."
One of Minister Kostyshyn's goals in his term as Agriculture Minister is to increase local production and processing to generate more local wealth and industry and he applauds Vermillion for their success.They are HERE!
