UPDATE (Sept 7th, 9:04 p.m.): Saskatchewan RCMP confirm that Myles Sanderson has died following his arrest. 

They say that he went into medical distress and that he was transported to a hospital in Saskatoon at around 7 p.m. CST, where he was later pronounced dead.

According to the RCMP, Sanderson was arrested after a police pursuit and there was a knife in the vehicle.

They say that an autopsy will be performed on Sanderson's body. However, the cause of his death will not be released until their investigation has been completed.

UPDATE (Sept 7th, 5:08 p.m.):  The dangerous persons alert that was issued by Melfort RCMP has been cancelled. 

Myles Sanderson was located and taken into police custody near Rosthern, Sask.

UPDATE (Sept 7th, 4:15 p.m.): Saskatchewan RCMP say an individual reported to be armed with a knife is travelling in a 2008 White Chevrolet Avalanche, with Saskatchewan licence plate 953 LPL, that was reported stolen out of Wakaw around 2:10 p.m. today.

They say that it was last seen travelling in Wakaw on Cemetery Road and that the direction of travel is unknown.

The RCMP believe this may be related to the Melfort dangerous person alert issued on Sunday, September 4.

UPDATE (Sept 6th): Saskatchewan RCMP continues to search for Myles Sanderson, who is 6 foot one inch and 240 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He may be injured and seek medical attention. He may be in a black Nissan Rogue with SK license plate 119 MPI. It’s unknown if he’s travelling with anyone.

UPDATE (Evening, Sept 5th): Saskatchewan RCMP say Damien Sanderson, one of the suspects in Sunday's fatal stabbings, has been found dead. Myles Sanderson is still at large.

Damien's body was found in a heavily-grassed area on James Smith Cree Nation. A forensic investigation team identified the body as his this afternoon.

His body was found with visible injuries. Authorities believe they were not self-inflicted.

UPDATE (Afternoon, Sept 5th): Saskatchewan RCMP has charged Damien and Myles Sanderson with First Degree Murder, Attempted Murder, and Break and Enter. Warrants have been issued for their arrest.

Investigators have also confirmed that 10 people were killed and 18 people injured as a result of the fatal stabbings on James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon, Saskatchewan.

Myles and Damien Sanderson were last known to be driving a black Nissan Rogue with Saskatchewan license plate 119 MPI. It is believed they may be in Regina, but this has not been confirmed. A written statement from the RCMP was provided this afternoon.

UPDATE (Morning, Sept 5th): The search for 31-year-old Damien Sanderson and 30-year-old Myles Sanderson continues. Authorities believe they are connected to the stabbings on James Smith Cree Nation and the nearby village of Weldon, Saskatchewan, which killed 10 people and injured 15 others.

As of this morning, the manhunt continues for 31-year-old Damien Sanderson and 30-year-old Myles Sanderson. Police in Regina, Saskatchewan, believe that the suspects are in Regina. This comes from an update on Twitter sent out last night around 9.

The Saskatchewan RCMP has put out a province-wide dangerous person alert as they search for two suspects in multiple stabbings. 

Damien Sanderson and Myles Sanderson are suspects in multiple stabbings this morning in James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon Saskatchewan. Damien is 5 foot 7 and 155 lbs with black hair, and brown eyes. Myles is 6 foot 1 and 240 lbs with brown hair and eyes.

The suspects are believed to be in a black Nissan Rogue with SK license plate 119 MPI. As the suspects are likely on the move, the RCMP is urging people to stay in a secure location and only allow known people into their residence.
