Those with a business idea have a good opportunity to win up to $30 thousand.
Fusion Credit Union has launched a business idea competition called Community Infusion, which infuses economic growth and prosperity into local communities.
Mike Csversko, Business Development Manager says that Fusion Credit Union is committed to the communities that they live, operate, and play in.
“When we looked internally, obviously we have patronage payouts to reward members throughout the year. We have the full circle fund which is geared toward community groups and non-profit organizations. So Community Infusion, we took the concepts from those other two to create something around entrepreneurs or small business development in our area.”
Those interested have until October 31st to apply.
“There’s not a lot of criteria this year, we basically left it wide open. Applicants can have a new business idea, they can have an existing business that they’re trying to grow, or they may be interested in purchasing and improving an existing business in a community where Fusion operates.”
Applicants who are chosen to move onto Phase 2 of the competition will be required to submit a business plan by November 15th, 2021.
Finalists will be invited to present their business pitches to a panel of judges at a public event in Dauphin in December. The winner will be announced that evening.
