RCMP are looking for information on two suspects after a robbery at a beer vendor in Portage la Prairie.
On Wednesday, November 4th around 9:45 p.m., RCMP received reports of a robbery on Saskatchewan Avenue in Portage.
Officers were told that a male and female had entered the vendor and tried to make a purchase, but were denied when they couldn’t provide proper identification.
The two suspects left, and returned a short while later when they jumped over the counter and physically assaulted the employee and sprayed him with bear spray.
The suspects then fled the vendor, taking two 12-packs of alcohol with them.
RCMP are asking anyone who may recognize these two suspects to contact the Portage la Prairie RCMP at 204-857-4445, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, or submit a secure tip online.
RCMP continue to investigate.
