Health officials are reporting 4 more deaths and 427 new COVID cases today.
It’s the second-highest number of new cases in a single day, shy of Friday’s 480.
The province’s most recent deaths are two women and a man from Winnipeg all over the age of 70, along with a woman in her 50’s from the Southern Health region. Manitoba has had a total of 91 deaths to date.
Today’s data shows:
- 15 cases in the Prairie Mountain Health region;
- 32 cases in the Interlake–Eastern health region;
- 60 cases in the Northern health region;
- 55 cases in the Southern Health–Santé Sud health region; and
- 265 cases in the Winnipeg health region.
The following Parkland health districts have active cases: Swan River (7), Porcupine Mountain (3), Asessippi (5), Whitemud (7). Dauphin has 0 active cases, while Brandon has 24.
In the Interlake, the Eriksdale/Ashern health district has 49 active cases.
Health officials are advising of the following possible COVID exposure:
Provincial public health officials continue to see a trend of concerning case numbers in Peguis First Nation, and have moved the area to Critical (red) on the Pandemic Response System, in partnership with the chief and council.
Of the provinces 7,177 total cases, 4,166 are active and 2,920 are recovered.
There are 153 people in hospital and 16 in intensive care.
