Manitoba folk trio, Red Moon Road, is releasing a special vinyl edition of their sophomore album, “Sorrows & Glories” in Winnipeg April 15, along with a video for the single, “I’ll Bend But I Won’t Break,” and embarking on an East Coast Tour in April.
Sorrows & Glories is receiving significant international airplay and has garnered national charting on the earshot Folk/Roots/Blues charts, and on the Stingray Canada Folk Roots Blues chart. The band is following up on the success of Sorrows & Glories with a special vinyl edition of the album. A vinyl release party is planned on Friday, April 15 at The Goodwill in Winnipeg. TOM DELONGE - ``CHASING SHADOWS''
Tom DeLonge of Angels and Airwaves wants to tell you the truth about U-F-Os without spelling it all out for you. He's co-written a novel called ``Chasing Shadows'' with bestselling author A-J Hartley. DeLonge says he's met with members of the military and science communities that he cannot name to present information that has never been told before. He's hoping people will be curious after reading the book to go learn about the nonfiction elements and realize he's correct. Sounds like a kook, right?
DeLonge knows that and even wrote that aspect into the book. He says if he had offered a straight presentation of big topics involving cosmology and national security, people would not be able to handle it. ``Chasing Shadows'' is out this week. An Angels and Airwaves E-P of the same name is also out now.

SOCCER FANS - OUTRAGED
A British soccer team swears everything was done by the book in a uniform design contest in which the winner just happens to be Louis Tomlinson of One Direction.
Tomlinson and his grandfather designed a black-and-grey shirt as the away jersey for the Doncaster Rovers. The design got more than 33 per cent of the votes. Tomlinson once played for the team in a charity game. Fans took to social media to complain the contest was fixed. A Doncaster Rovers spokesperson says the team is aware the competition results have ``attracted some mixed feedback,'' but the voting process was ``fair and above board.''
