The deadline to register for the 2017 Gilbert-Plains Grandview Rodeo Competition is quickly approaching, specifically looking for riders between the ages of 15-20 years old.

Gilbert Plains-Grandview Ag Society Rodeo Queen Co-ordinator Tani Cholka believes that running for Rodeo Queen gives youth a chance to showcase their skills and abilities.

 "To run for Rodeo Queen, they'll need to be able to sell raffle tickets, they'll have to present a speech at the fair, some interviews at the fair, and just having queen etiquette."
