Dauphin's Lawson Yates and Zachary Wasylik swept Team Brett Walter into the 1vs2 page playoff game in the final draw of the round-robin at the Telus Junior Men's and Women's Provincial Championships.

A great crowd witnessed a wonderful game between Walter and Team Ryan Wiebe, which includes Swan River's Carter Watkins. In the end, Lawson and the rest of the foursome came out on top with a 7-5 win.

The win moved their record to 6-1 and they'll now play Team Jacques Gauthier in the 1vs2 game this evening at 7:00 p.m. inside of Credit Union Place.

The winner of the game will earn their berth to the New Holland Canadian Junior Championships that take place later this month in Langley, B.C.

In other men's action, Team Hunter Dundas finished their tournament with a good effort in a 10-7 loss against Team Titchkosky.

Saturday - 1vs2 game - 7:00 p.m. - Team Walter vs Team Gauthier. Gauthier will have hammer to begin the game as he finished 7-0. Winner advances to the final while the loser will play in the semifinal.

Saturday - 3vs4 game - 7:00 p.m. - Team Hykaway vs Team Wiebe. Loser is eliminated and winner advances to semifinal.

Sunday - Semifinal - 9:00 a.m. - Loser of Walter vs Gauthier will take on the winner of Hykaway vs Wiebe.

Sunday - Championship - 1:00 p.m. - Winner of Walter vs Gauthier will take on the winner of the semifinal.

Women's Side:

Hanne Jensen, Emma Jensen, and the rest of Team Friesen did their job by taking care of Team McCannell which included Stacy Sime and Rebecca Sahulka. However, they didn't get the help they needed and they won't advance to the playoff round.

In other women's action, Team Jackson from Dauphin came up short in their final game to finish 1-6.

Sunday - Championship - 1:00 p.m. - Winner of Zacharias vs Gray-Withers will take on the winner of the semifinal.
