The CEO of the Winnipeg Foundation says there is a lot of competition for charity dollars in today's world.

Richard Frost spoke at a Dauphin Chamber of Commerce luncheon which took place this afternoon at the Watson Art Centre.

Frost says there was a big message he wanted to get across to people in attendance.

"The charitable sector is becoming a more complicated place. Donors have greater expectations of how we raise money and what we do with money. Accountability, transparency, those kind of things, and to talk a little about the importance of putting together a game plan so that you kind of know what the priorities of your community are. There's so much competition for charitable dollars these days."

He also spoke highly of the Dauphin and District Community Foundation calling them an anchor organization that's doing extremely well as they prepare for their twentieth anniversary this fall.
