Another PED Case Found in Manitoba
A third Manitoba farm has been hit by a virus that can wipe out piglets at hog operations.
The Manitoba Pork Council says it doesn't know what is behind the three cases of PED virus that were detected in recent weeks.
Until these last three cases, Manitoba had been free of the disease for 16 months.
The virus has killed 10-million piglets in the US in the last two years.

Parking Changes on Two Downtown Dauphin Streets
The City of Dauphin is reminding the public of a couple amended no parking zones.
There's no longer parking allowed on both sides of 1st Avenue Southeast for about 40 metres east of Main Street, and there is no parking on the north side of 1st Avenue Northeast for about 65 metres east of Main Street.
There is signage.
The bylaw amendment was passed on May 16.

Prairie Petro Canadas Hit by Gas Shortage
The shortage of gasoline at some Petro Canada stations across the Prairies continues to spread.
Pumps at some stations in Winnipeg are the latest to run dry, with the temporary shortage also felt by drivers in Saskatchewan, Alberta and the British Columbia interior.
Suncor Energy says the problem stems from the slowdown in crude production due to the Fort McMurray wildfires and an outage at its Edmonton refinery.
Suncor says the refinery should be back in operation by the end of this week, and its oilsands operations at Fort Mac back at full production by the end of the month.

Assisted Dying Bill Remains in Senate
Doctors groups say many physicians are unsure which patients are eligible for help to end their chronic suffering, now that a Supreme Court ruling is in effect allowing Canadians the right to seek a doctor's aid to terminate their lives.
The College of Family Physicians of Canada says many doctors will likely be reluctant to help patients end their lives until a federal law has been passed.
The Liberals' proposed bill to satisfy a high court ruling that lifts the ban on assisted death is still under debate in the Senate and any possible amendments would have to be put back to members of Parliament.
The Commons is due to rise for summer break June 23rd.

Hundreds Attend Dauphin's Relay for Life
The chairperson for the Canadian Cancer Society's Relay for Life in Dauphin is thanking everyone who helped out and took part.
Angela Kotyk says she couldn't have asked for a better group of people to work with.
"All the volunteers who had come out throughout the day and throughout the evening to help out, all of the participants, all of the survivors that came out, and of course all of our wonderful sponsors, we couldn't have done it without all of you so thank you, and a big thank you to my committee as well."
Kotyk says about 189 participants and 50 survivors took part.
The relay was held last Friday at the Selo site. More than $71,500 has been raised, but final numbers aren't known yet.
