The ban prohibits smokers from smoking cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars, vape pens, or any other kind of tobacco product, where food and beverages are being served.
According to Winnipeg’s Mayor Brian Bowman, a public consultation showed three out of four people supported the motion.
It takes effect as of April 1.
