Inmate at Dauphin Correctional Centre Dies
A person in custody at the Dauphin Correctional Centre has died.
For reason of privacy, limited information is available at the moment but we do know that the death has been confirmed by a spokesperson from Manitoba Justice.
The family of the deceased have been notified and an internal review has been launched regarding the case.

The Dauphin Pioneer Association Celebrates 100 Years
This weekend Dauphin will be celebrating a piece of history.
Tomorrow the Dauphin Pioneer`s Association will be hosting it`s annual picnic at the Fort Dauphin Museum. The picnic will feature dignitaries and speakers to honor the monumental accomplishment.
Treasure of the Dauphin Pioneer Association, Dean Durston says this celebration will be a special one.
Members of the Dauphin Pioneer Association are the descendants of the earliest Pioneers to the community, some going as far back as six generations.

Manitoba Church Fire In Question
Investigators say a fire at one of Winnipeg's largest churches is considered suspicious.
The damage from Thursday night's blaze at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral has been pegged at more than one million dollars.
No injuries were reported in the two-alarm fire but firefighters say they encountered thick, black smoke when they arrived. It's believed the fire started on the church's main floor.

Stony Mountain Institution A Potential PokeStop
Pokemon players and characters are cropping up everywhere, even a federal prison in Manitoba.
Officials at Stony Mountain Institution issued a bulletin to corrections staff yesterday to make them aware of the game.
There are concerns Pokemon Go may lead to trespassing because some of the prison's landmarks, including the water tower, may be identified in the game as a PokeStop (a place for players to pick up tools and accessories to catch Pokemon characters).
Officials are reminding players that the correctional centre is private property, and any unauthorized entry is trespassing.

Winnipeg Jets Legends Honored
The Winnipeg Jets have dialed 40 years into the past for the first inductees of the team's hall of fame.
The Jets' prolific Hot Line, made up of Bobby Hull, Anders Hedberg and Ulf Nilsson, will be enshrined during the Heritage Classic weekend in October.
Combined, the three players scored an average of 310 points per season during the World Hockey Association Days.
They also helped lead Winnipeg to two WHA titles in 1976 and 1978.
