Pharmacists Manitoba is wanting funds to go into the provincial drug plan to be able for them to order lab results, do consultation for prescriptions, do renewal of prescriptions and much more to help ease the burden of the health care system.
Dauphin NDP candidate, Darcy Scheller says that the NDP is all about health care improvements.
"Our pharmacists are among the most accessible health care professionals in Manitoba. I mean, they are the front lines. They are the ones that deal with people you know on a daily day to day basis. So, we definitely want to help make improvements wherever we can."
Under the provincial drug plan, immunizations is the only thing that is funded by the government.
