Comedian Jonny Harris played at Gilbert Plains Collegiate last night as part of his CBC show Still Standing, in which he learns about small Canadian communities and then performs a show tailored to the town.
Harris says the crowd was great.
"There's nothing better than, you know, you do your first couple of jokes, you get good laughs, a good warm response from the audience, and you know that they're in the right place, they're laid back, they're ready to have a laugh, and you just know that it's going to be fun."
Gilbert Plains must've made a good impression as well, because Harris says he'd love to come back.
"I'd love to come back and not have to worry about putting together a comedy show... I didn't actually get to go golfing and I know there's a beautiful course here."
The exact air date of the Gilbert Plains episode of Still Standing on CBC hasn't been revealed yet.
