Dauphin RCMP Constable Rob Tuff says their detachment has received three reports in the last week of people dressed as clowns frightening others.
One complaint was in Ethelbert and two came from Dauphin, the most recent being on Saturday evening, allegedly involving a group of people in a pickup truck wearing clown masks.
Tuff says no one has been hurt, but police take these things quite seriously. He says it may seem like fun for the people doing it, but police have to treat it as a legitimate complaint and come it it from a criminal point of view.
