Arden is hosting its eighth annual crocus photo contest. Chairperson John Dietz says photos entered are displayed at Arden's Crocus festival in May.

 

Dietz he'd love to see some entries from Dauphin, because as far as he can think of, they've never had one.

 

"If you're living in the Dauphin area, and I did live there, I can tell you that north of Ashville there's some sandy, gravelly, pasture-type land. My friend was saying that you know, thirty or forty years ago, there used to be a whole field of crocuses in bloom there."
