The Parkland Chamber of Commerce is getting set for their upcoming Parkland Works Job and Career Fair.
Kamryn Winter, Executive Director of the Parkland Chamber of Commerce, said they already have several notable businesses and employers, but they're always looking for more.
"We do have a lot of great employers coming, we do have Prairie Mountain Health, Manitoba Hydro, it's gonna be a great afternoon," said Winters.
Winters said kids from several area schools will be there to check out what jobs are available. She said it's a great way to give them a foot in the door, and there's a lot of benefits for businesses and organizations too.
"Well it just gives us information, right, it gives us insight on the workforce landscape right now, it gives us an opportunity to connect with those employers as well...[students are] coming through those doors looking for opportunity, and I think for businesses and organizations to be a part of that, the target demographic is right there for you, so you can inform people about even like what your organization or business is about," said Winters.
If you're in the area, and looking for work, you'll want to check out the Parkland Works Job and Career Fair. Winters said there isn't any cost for attendees.
"For just attending in general, as an individual, no you don't have to pre-register," said Winters.
The Parkland Works Job Fair is set for November 19th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Ukrainian Orthodox Auditorium in Dauphin. Businesses who want to attend and show themselves off to job seekers, you're encouraged to contact the Parkland Chamber of Commerce to learn more.
