This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Manitoba Farm Women's Conference, which is set for November 16th to 18th in Winnipeg.
Two Dauphin residents will be among the presenters, as former MFWC board member Kayla Gillis will lead a discussion about the realities of life as a farm woman, while Sherrie Volk will have a presentation on will and estate planning.
Conference chair Doris Doelger says it is very important to keep putting on this event every year.
"It is a great way for women across the industry to connect, whether they are a farmer themselves, or they are industry leaders through banking or insurance and such. It is just a grounded playing field where we can share stories, as we have different experiences."
Registration is open until November 1st through their website www.nfwc.ca.
