Another grant through the Province's From the Ground Up - Safe Healthy Communities for All Program is supporting a Parkland municipality. The Municipality of Russell-Binscarth is set to receive a $40,000 grant to upgrade their outdoor pool.
In their news release, Municipal and Northern Relations Minister Glen Simard said investments like this are essential in making sure Manitoba has strong and connected communities.
"From community centres and arenas to arts facilities and recreational attractions, these projects will strengthen the social fabric of our communities and help them continue to grow and thrive for years to come," said Simard.
This round of grants saw a total of $300,750 invested in five communities, also including the RM of Wallace-Woodworth, the Miniota Community Centre, the Birtle Centre for the Arts, and the Municipality of Prairie View.
