This month marks the 25th anniversary of the full restoration and re-opening of the Dauphin Rail building.
Unused and in danger of being permanently closed in the 1980's, a group of city residents fundraised to have the building restored, which was completed in 2001.
A special anniversary event is being planned for Saturday from 9 until 4.
Jason Gilmore is president of the Dauphin Rail Museum.
"We will be open from 9 until 4 on Saturday. We are going to have some free birthday cake and coffee. And we did have a bunch of physical copies of pictures of both the people involved and the interior and exterior renovations. So we have put those up on poster boards, which will be on display in the lobby area of the station. It will also be a second launching of the fundraising drive for the Dauphin Rail Turntable project."
If you have yet to visit the Dauphin Rail Museum, Gilmore says this Saturday will be a prefect time to do so.
