The harvest season is here for farmers, and the Canadian Canola Growers Association wants producers to know about their cash advance program.

A cash advance is a flexible loan program specifically for farmers to address working capital needs. It's available to farmers on over 50 different products. It's aimed at saving farmers tens of thousands of dollars due to its low interest rates.

"One of the beauties of this program is that farmers can use the cash for anything they need on their farm. There are no restrictions," said Dave Gallant, Vice-President of Finance & APP Operations at Canadian Canola Growers Association. "Definitely this time of the year in terms of helping you pay the bills, especially in terms of harvest. You don't have to sell your crop in order to pay those bills. It gives you cash flow and then time to develop your marketing plan once you know what's in the bin."

There is no minimum monthly payment. There are no scheduled payments. You pay as you deliver the grain on your advance. Simply put, you don't pay until you get paid.

The program offers farmers up to $1,000,000 in working capital financing.

It includes up to $250,000 interest-free on all commodities and up to an additional $250,000 interest-free on canola only. From there, the interest-bearing portion is at the prime rate less 0.25%

Gallant says it's the perfect time to get cash flow for your grain as you harvest it. With four decades of cash advance experience, the team at Canadian Canola Growers Association is focused on serving farmers. They listen and use feedback received to continuously improve, always striving to make cash advances more accessible and more convenient for farms of all sizes.

To apply today, call 1-866-745-2256 to chat with the CCGA to begin the process. Gallant says usually within 20 minutes of your first conversation, you'll receive an application in your email with instructions on what is left to be completed so you can receive your money as quickly as possible.

"I just want to say to farmers that this program is there for your benefit," said Gallant. "I would encourage you to look at the benefits it offers, the low-interest costs, and the flexibility on how the funds can be used. To determine if it makes sense for your farm to take advantage of the cash advance program today."
