A boil water advisory is in effect for the Village of Winnipegosis.
Routine water samples have shown bacteria in the treated water supply at the Winnipegosis water system.
Until further notice, all water used for consumption should be brought to a rolling boil for at least a minute before it's used for drinking and ice making, preparing beverages, such as infant formula, preparing food, including washing fruits and vegetables, and brushing teeth.
You do not need to boil tap water for household purposes, such as laundry or washing dishes.
The boil water advisory will be in effect until the water supply no longer presents a risk to public health.
