Extremely dry conditions and increased fire risks has led the Sandy Bay Ojibway First nation to issue a fire ban for their community.
All open fires in that community, including campfires, burning barrels and outdoor burning is now prohibited until further notice.
With the dry conditions there, even a small spark could get out of control, so residents of Sandy Bay are asked to do what they can to prevent wildfires in the area.
