A 36-year-old man from Brandon was sentenced in Dauphin Provincial Court on Wednesday.
Brendan Komarnicki was senteced to time already served in custody and 12 months of unsupervised probation.
Last May, Dauphin RCMP were called to a home in the city after an assault. Brendan was arrested nearby and was charged with assaulting a police officer.
He pled guilty, leading to the sentence.
