As Bob Irving said it himself, anything can happen, and the unthinkable happened on Thursday night as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers shocked the Montreal Alouettes in winning 41-40.

Trailing by 12 points with less than two minutes left, the Bombers looked down and out, but Matt Nichols, who had to be better in this game led the team down the field to bring the game within five points with under a minute left.

Still, the Bombers were not in good position to win the game, until an onside kick worked wonders for the Bombers and they got the ball back with a chance to win the game.

And that is exactly what they did, Nichols drove the team down the field, and Andrew Harris finished it off with a short run into the end zone as the Bombers took the lead at 41-40 as the time expired.

Once again, Andrew Harris didn't provide much offence as far as the run game comes, but it was another game for him that he received for 80+ plus yards, totalling 93 yards on nine receptions, which topped the team. Darvin Adams was two behind at 91.

Darian Durant overall did a good job for the Alouettes, but Nichols did just better, in throwing for 358 yards and completing more than 79 percent of his passes.

All in all, the Bombers are not where they need to be defensively, but at the end of the day, they continue to put up a lot of points, and in the end, a win is a win and now the Bombers sit at 3-2, while the Al's drop to 2-4.

Next up for the Bombers is a date with the Ottawa Redblacks, next Friday at 6:00 p.m. in Ottawa.
