For the first time since 2008, Bob Irving will not call the Winnipeg Blue Bombers game on the radio this week when they take on BC.
Irving will miss the game to undergo a heart-related medical procedure on Wednesday, July 19 in Winnipeg.
Sports director at CJOB, Kelly Moore will travel to BC to call the game.
Irving hopes to be back as soon as possible, perhaps even for next Thursday's home game against Montreal.
