A tremendous season ended with a bronze medal for the Gilbert Plains/Grandview varsity boys basketball team.
The team won two of their three games including the third-place match to win bronze on Saturday evening. After a 41 point win against Elm Creek, the Parkland team came up short against Frontier in their next game.
Gilbert Plains/Grandview responded very nicely in their next game as they downed Ross L Gray, 74-41.
On the women's side; meanwhile, the Gilbert Plains Trojans earned a consolation championship this weekend at provincials. They beat Ross L Gray in the consolation final, 35-33, in one of the best games of the tournament. They also beat Pine Creek in a game. The Ste. Rose Celtics finished with a silver medal.
