The Parkland U18 Rangers earned three of a possible four points this weekend in a home set against the Pembina Valley Hawks.

Following a convincing win on Friday, the U18 Rangers jumped out to a quick start as they led 3-0 during Saturday afternoon's rematch.

Will Munro, Hayden Seib and Cohen Smigelsky scored the first three goals. But Pembina Valley stormed back with four goals straight to take a 4-3 lead and they held that lead midway into the third.

But the Rangers didn't quit and Rylan Gibbs found the back of the net to tie the game at four and overtime was needed. Ultimately, the Hawks scored in overtime with less than two minutes left to secure the extra point.

Parkland remains in sixth place, two points ahead of both the Bruins and Northstars. The team is home to the Interlake Lightning next Friday and Saturday.
