Manitoba Public Health has put the Prairie Mountain Health Region into the "orange" risk category which means starting on Monday, group sizes will be reduced to 10 individuals for both indoor and outdoor settings.

Masks will also be mandatory for indoor public places, as well as any public gatherings.

Many are now wondering how this may affect the golf season with so many beautiful courses right here in the Parkland. At the Dauphin Lake Golf Club, Ray Karlson confirms that this doesn't change anything at the Club which is good news for you golfers who frequent the Club.

"We're business as usual. We're still abiding by the previous COVID-19 rules and we'll certainly be honouring those," said Karlson. "We continue to look forward to welcoming golfers to our course which is in gorgeous condition."

When it comes to tournaments, those are also business as usual. Upcoming events at the Club include the Ebb and Flow Treaty 2 Nation two-person scramble which takes place next Friday. You can enter at the pro shop. The Club's Night Light tournament will take place on Saturday, September 5, and you can also register for that now.

From September 25 to 27, the Home Hardware Best-Ball Challenge in support of the Gary Brandon Memorial Scholarship will take over the course for an event that is a hit every single season.

"We want people to know that we're still spreading people out, the Dauphin Lake Golf Club continues to be a safe place for all," added Karlson. "Keeping this place safe has been our main focus since the start of the season and we will continue to enforce all necessary measures."
