Cole DeKoninck has been named a runner-up for the MJHL's Defenceman of the Month for January.
In 11 games last month, DeKoninck had three goals and 10 assists.
The Lorette native leads all defenceman in scoring this year with 51 points and he's 10th in the league's scoring race.
He had four assists this past Friday in a win against Virden and he added an assist in a 3-2 win on Saturday against Selkirk.
