Swan River's Carter Watkins has brought his best stuff this week to Dauphin and he's a big reason that Team Ryan Wiebe is having such a good provincials.
Watkins and the foursome capped off a perfect first three days with another dominating performance in a 9-3 win. The team is now 6-0 heading into their final round-robin game.
Also on the men's side, Lawson Yates and Team Brett Walter are one win away from heading to the page playoff. Playing Josh Friesen, Walter with the assistance of his sweepers, one of which was Lawson and his third calling line in the hack delivered a wonderful last shot in the 10th end, one that secured a 6-5 win.
With a record of 5-1, Yates and the foursome could join Ryan Wiebe, Jacques Gauthier, and Team Hykaway in the four-team page playoff round if they win on Saturday afternoon.
Women's Side:
Emma Jensen, Hanne Jensen, and the remainder of Team Friesen kept their playoff hopes alive. They beat Team Anya Jackson and they're now 4-2. If they win their final round-robin game tomorrow, they could qualify for a tie-breaker.
In other action, Stacy Sime, Rebecca Sahulka, and Team McCannell won their second game of the week over Team Onagi.
