The Dauphin Kings played a solid game and they’re back in the win column.

The team scored two goals early and they beat Neepawa, 4-2, inside of the Yellowhead Centre.

Just 59 seconds in, Carter Sawchuk scored on a breakaway to give Dauphin a 1-0 lead.

Less than four minutes later, Nakodan Greyeyes made it 2-0 and Dauphin held that lead after 20.

Cole Dekoninck would make it 3-0 at the 10:36 mark of the second.

With 43 seconds left in the second, Neepawa would score on the power play to bring them within two after 40 minutes.

11:34 into the third, Grady Hobbs made it 4-1 Dauphin. It’s a lead they held until a few minutes later when Ste. Rose’s, Brad Marshall cut the deficit in half.

However, that’s as close as Neepawa would get.

Dauphin has now won nine games this season and they’ll look to hit the double digit mark on Saturday in Winnipeg.

Darnell Duff will have the pregame show at 1:45.
