The Swan Valley Stampeders evened up the MJHL finals tonight at two games a piece with some authority. 

The Stamps’ opened up a 7-0 lead and went on to beat Portage, 7-2 in front of a wild crowd at the Centennial Arena.

Josh Tripp opened up the scoring just over eight minutes in and Matthew Osadick made it 2-0 just eight minutes later to give Swan Valley that lead after 20.

The flood gates opened in the second. 

Bradly Goethals made it 3-0 just 3:25 in and Osadick scored his second of the game just over a minute later.

Campbell Balk went on his own little mission in the next four minutes as he scored twice to put Swan Valley up 6-0.

Brian Harris made it a converted touchdown at the 11:25 mark.

Portage would score twice to end the second but that was it. 

The series shifts back to Portage on Tuesday night.
