For the second straight game, Keaton Ziprick was fantastic in net and he was a big reason the Parkland Midget Rangers earned a point in a 2-1 overtime loss against Kenora tonight.

Jaegar Lapointe put the Rangers up just 5:53 into the game. Landyn Brasch and Leo Chartrand notched the assists.

The Rangers locked down defensively and Ziprick shut the door in net until there was under three minutes left. At the 17:08 mark, Kenora tied it.

Kenora scored the game-winner 3:14 into overtime.

Parkland will look to get the full two points on Sunday afternoon in a rematch with the Thistles at 1:30.

Bantam Rangers:

The team also picked up a single point. Will Munro, Brayden Dube, Steven Arp, and Rylan Gibbs had the Rangers up 4-2 after 40 minutes.

Central Plains would score two third period goals to tie it at four and that’s where the game would end.

Parkland now welcomes the Capitals to Grandview at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Grandview Comets:

Six different skaters scored in a complete team effort 6-1 win against Shoal Lake.

Derrick Pulock led the way with three points (1G).

Dalen Schulz, Bradley Potoroka, Evan Gullet, Dylan Ushkowski, and Chris Porter all scored once.
