Former Parkland Ranger and current Swan Valley Stampeder, Josh Tripp is a runner-up for Player of the Week in the MJHL.

In three games last week, the 20-year-old Swan River native had five points (1G). The goal came in a 6-1 thumping of Winkler this past Saturday while he also chipped in two assists. 

Josh continues to have a career year with his hometown team. In 42 games, he's racked up 64 points (28G) which is 10 more than his teammate, Bradly Goethals. 

Tripp is currently in Regina playing for Team Zajac at the MJHL/SJHL Showcase.

Portage Terriers goaltender Ethan Peterson was named the Recycle Everywhere MJHL Player of the Week. The 19-year-old had a .978 save percentage last week en route to two wins. In 14 games this season, Peterson has three shutouts for a Portage team that is 33-6-1-1.

Blake Sidoni of the Virden Oil Capitals is the other runner-up for the award.
