Taron Topham made sure the Parkland Rangers would get a point this afternoon.

But, that was it as the club lost 4-3 to the Interlake Lightning in a shootout.

Hunter Glover put the Rangers up 1-0, just over 13 minutes into the game.

Shortly after near the end of the first, Interlake tied it.

Garrett Hrechka put the Rangers up 2-1 in the second but again, Interlake responded and scored two straight to take a 3-2 lead.

With 1:40 left in the game, Topham fired a shot from the point that beat the Interlake goalie to tie it up.

Interlake scored twice in the shootout to pick up two points.
