Last week it was goalie Troy Martyniuk, this week it's forward Mathieu Lapointe.

The 18 year old was key last week in Dauphin's 5-1 win in Selkirk. Lapointe then followed that up with a solid game in Portage the next night. Overall the Edmonton product had two goals and three assists for five points last week. The strong week has Lapointe just one point back of Chance Thomas for the team lead.

Lapointe currently has the Kings longest active point streak, in his last four contests he has two goals and five assists. This season he has 16 goals and 22 assists for 38 points.

The Kings return to Credit Union Place Friday when they host the Selkirk Steelers at 7:00pm.
