The Telus Cup Midget West Regional hosts have three more weeks off until they get the tournament underway at Credit Union Place.

Rangers Head Coach Doug Hedley says they're sticking to their regular routine right now.

"We're just keeping a regular practice schedule, they'll always be the same until we hit the tournament. Next week we're going to do a couple team building things if we can get them organized. The last week we'll try and get four or five skates in before the tournament. We're hoping to be healthy and ready to go."

Speaking of health, a couple Rangers continue to heal after bumps and bruises before and during the post season says Hedley.

"Josh Tripp played with an injured shoulder the other day, probably shouldn't have but he did. He's probably a week and a half away or so. Braydee Prokopchuk will be skating, he's kinda day-to-day. Tyler Derkach is the same with concussion symptoms. Riese Gaber, another shoulder injury, we're hoping he's ready by the tournament but not really sure. Could be two or three weeks away. We should be close to 100% healthy when the tournament rolls around."

Joining the Rangers at the Midget West Regional will be the Kenora Thistles, and the winners of Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

In Manitoba four teams remain in the playoffs, they are the Brandon AAA Wheat Kings, the Winnipeg Wild and Thrashers and the Pembina Valley Hawks. In Saskatchewan there are four teams left as well, they are the Tisdale Trojans, Notre Dame Hounds, Regina Pat Canadians and Battlefords Stars.

If you're looking for tickets for the Midget West Regional you can pick them up at any Catalyst Credit Union. It's $35 for a weekend pass and kids 12 and under get in for free.
