The Dauphin Fire Department is asking the public to hold off on rural burning today.

Last night, as part of the pre-budget consultations, the provincial government held a consultation with the public in Dauphin.

Winds gusts of up to 90 km/h or higher are expected to develop over the Parkland tomorrow. For farmers who are burning in their fields, Chief Administrative Officer of the RM of Dauphin, Laura Murray, reminds them to be safe when burning.
