A 19-year-old Swan River man is facing a number of charges, including attempted murder with a firearm.
Swan River RCMP responded to a report of a possible shooting on Heyes Street last Friday evening. Police found an 18-year-old man with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.
RCMP say they obtained information of a possible suspect. That same evening, police were called to a vehicle fire they say matched the description of one allegedly driven by the suspect.
Nikko Guiboche remains in custody, awaiting a court appearance set for June 23.
RCMP say the alleged victim is in stable condition, after being taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
