Doctors are urging Manitobans to get the flu shot despite concerns that it has not been as effective in past years. 

 

Over the past week, the province has seen a spike in cases of the flu. 

According to Dr. Richard Rusk of Manitoba Health, most confirmed flu cases are of the A strain, adding that only 19 percent of the population has been vaccinated.
