An 85-year-old man from Roblin died in a house fire on Boxing Day.
RCMP responded to the call at 10:00 in the morning in the Municipality of Roblin and found him unresponsive.
A 33 year old woman made it out safely from the house before the first responders arrived.
Staff Sergeant Matt Lavallee, from the Prairie Mountain area RCMP talks about the fire.
“It’s a tragic incident, especially at this time of the year. The increase on the heating demands given the cold weather was definitely a factor. A very unfortunate incident.”
The fire has been deemed as accidental.
