A route to Churchill has finally been established.
Crews have finished the ice road connecting the remote northern town to Gillam, approximately 300 km northeast from Thompson.
Goods and supplies will arrive in the community on Wednesday.
The project was established with Polar Industries, Fox Lake Cree Nation and Churchill's Remote Area Services.
