A lot of people got home safe over the weekend in the inaugural run of this year’s Dauphin RIDE program.
Ride started this past Friday and Saturday and continues each weekend until New Year’s Eve. John Shuttleworth, co-ordinator for the program talks about how many people used the service so far.
“The weekend was quite busy, we had 37 trips, 89 passengers, and we had 26 volunteers come out. We couldn’t do this business without the volunteers.”
The Dauphin RIDE program is offered from 9:00 in the evening until 3:00 in the morning and people can call 638-5707 to use the service.
