With Environment Canada issuing a special weather statement for the Parkland and the Interlake MPI wants to remind us to drive to the road conditions.
Some safety tips from MPI include: don’t rush and give yourselves five or ten extra minutes to get to where you are going, keep your windshield clear and make sure windshield washer fluid is topped up, and allow for more time to stop because there is reduced traction on roads when they are slippery.
Manitoba Infrastructure is also reminding us that snow-clearing equipment will be on highways if and when adverse weather conditions develop.
