A man from Dauphin is facing charges of impaired driving and refusing to provide breath samples after Brandon police made a traffic stop last night.
Police stopped the 35-year-old man after searching the vehicle it is reported he stole last night. Police say they received a report of the truck the man was driving being taken from outside a bar in the 3100 block of Victoria Avenue early yesterday. Police say when they pulled the truck over a short time later the driver appeared to be intoxicated. He was held overnight at Brandon Correctional Centre until sober.
The allegation of the theft of the vehicle remains under investigation.
