Two Manitoba women are among the more than 500 people wounded by a gunman in Las Vegas who also killed at least 58 people.

Jody Ansell of Stonewall says she was with Jan Lambourne of Teulon when the gunman in a highrise hotel opened fire on an outdoor concert last night.

She says she was shot in her right arm and Lambourne was shot in the stomach amid shooting that seemed to continue forever.

Ansell says the crowd was hysterical and that all she thought about was getting back to her two children.

She says in a post on Facebook that she's now recovering and Lambourne is also in stable condition after undergoing surgery.

2 Canadians were killed in the incident, including a 23-year-old man from B.C. and a 34-year-old woman from Alberta.
