Don't be alarmed if you see Canadian soldiers in Riding Mountain National Park this week.
But you probably won't see them. CFB Shilo public affairs officer Lori Truscott says that's the purpose of the training exercise.
She says the First Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery will be conducting patrolling and evasion training.
"There are no weapons involved in this type of training, but what it involves is the soldiers being divided into pairs to conduct patrols in the area around about the 40 kilometres from Clear Lake to Dauphin. And they will head off and then they're going to be chased by a group of 20 more soldiers that are going to be paired off."
Truscott is asking people to keep an eye open for safety vehicles along the highway, which may be stopped or moving slowly.
Truscott says Canadian Forces members are asked to work in all kinds of condition and terrain and Clear Lake has good wooded areas that the soldiers typically don't train in, giving them another challenge to work through.
The training is taking place Tuesday to Thursday and will involve about 60 soldiers.
