Work at the Dauphin Ag Heritage Club's annual threshing day is well underway.

Ag heritage club member Lyle McNichol, who does emceeing at the event, calls it a fun, family day.

"We've got a lot of older people here that come out, then we have lots of young people, which is what we want to see. We want to demonstrate the heritage of this area."

One team hit a big of a snag earlier today, when they over-filled their machine.

Beyond threshing, the day includes stooking, blacksmithing, wagon rides, a chorehorse competition and more.

McNichol says they will wrap up threshing around 4:30 today, and then there will be quite a bit of clean up.
